The Great House - Comfortably furnished with an intriguing selection of art, books, antiques and South Asian and Bahamian decor, the Great House is a central gathering place where guests typically relax over cocktails and meals. The room is wrapped by a garden terrace from which white sand paths lead through towering Silver Palms to a heated fresh water pool.

Accented with fine wines and spirits, dining at Kamalame consists primarily of local fish and seafood, top tier imported game and fowl, and fresh tropical fruit and produce, locally sourced as much as possible. The menu changes daily to reflect a graceful fusion of classic Caribbean cuisine with elegant modern twists. Guests can dine in the restaurant, at the Tiki Bar, at private tables set on request along secluded stretches of beach. In-room dining is also available on request.

Guests of larger villas that come outfitted with stocked pantries and kitchens can opt to design their own culinary experience with private chefs, along with kitchen and serving staff, available on request.

After dinner, gently-aged rum, cognac and vintage port help encourage conversation and dramatic star gazing from the beach.

Breakfast baskets are delivered to each room every morning with fresh coffee and baked goodies; full breakfast is also served in the Great House for those who enjoy a stronger start to the day.

Tiki Bar - The thatch-roofed seaside Tiki Bar at Kamalame Cay is a wonderful spot to center beach, poolside or evening activities, as well as special occasions. Just off the chaise lined pool, the Tiki Bar faces the ocean and is backed by a lush palm grove with an array of Indonesian tables and chairs scattered along the beach, as well as a fully stocked bar, open grill, and laid back island music.

The Saturday night torch and candle-lit Bahamian BBQ beach banquets see buffets laden with fresh surf-and-turf selections enlivened by local “rake & scrape” bands.

Anglers Nest - Fronted by private verandas, the island’s charming wood frame cottages overlook the marina and the Cay’s less windy leeside cove. Marina Rooms are conveniently located nearest to the Great House, Tiki Bar, pool and reception. Each of these classically designed 600-square-foot cottages is divided into two airy private spaces furnished in relaxed beach style with removable muslin window panels, a stereo system and a selection of music, board games and books. A petite kitchenette is outfitted with glassware, ice buckets, tea, espresso, and coffee cups; the fully stocked fridge tailored to guest preference. En suite bathrooms are equipped with a shower, beach and bath towels, an array of Aveda products and plush terry robes.

Beach Suites - The Beach Rooms Driftwood and Mahogany consist of a single large room enhanced by a comfortable seating area. Each one has its own private entrance with a connecting door (lockable from both sides) allowing access to the adjoining room – perfect for families or groups of friends. These beautifully furnished rooms come complete with a fully stocked wet bar, Roman soaking tub, ocean views, and a covered veranda. As with all of the beach accommodations, breathtaking views and cooling sea breezes are a highlight.

Cottage Suites - Seaside octagons wrapped in French doors and wide verandas, the island’s five beach cottages offer expansive ocean views and supreme privacy just a few steps from the sugar sand seashore. Sapodilla North & South, situated within closest proximity to one another, are particularly suited for small families or couples traveling together. At 700 square feet with lofty 17-foot ceilings, each peak roof, limestone and wood frame cottage features a large sun-washed bedroom with king or twin beds and is furnished in an array of island décor with removable muslin window panels, stereo systems and a selection of music, board games and books. One Bed Island Villa Suite - The island’s premium one bedroom villa features a spacious bedroom and living room with a covered, wraparound veranda overlooking the coast. Three Bedroom Island Villa Suite - Perched on the highest point of the Cay, this very special three-bedroom (2,500-square-foot) villa was originally built as the owner’s private hideaway. Four Bedroom Island Villa Suite - The two-level, 6,000-square-foot Coconut is the island’s largest villa and sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 Suites while offering an additional two bedrooms for support staff. Its vast great room offers panoramic ocean views and is lined in French doors that open onto a wide, wrap veranda on three sides. The open plan living dining room, offset with a full kitchen and free standing wet bar is accentuated by thoughtful interior accents and hand carved South Asian furnishings. Two of the four suites – each with an en suite bath with a soaker tub – are connected to the great room. The remaining two, also located on the villa’s upper level, are connected as private wings via sweeping verandas.
