Venue Overview
Turtle Island is a 500-acre privately owned island in Fiji’s Yasawa Islands. Since 1980, the Evanson family has operated a low density, sustainable resort designed to offer an experience that brings out the best of the native lifestyle.
Unlike other resorts, they want guests to know their Fijian staff personally, like family. Group dinner parties are held every night at several locations around the island, where guests can linger for hours among newfound friends. Experiencing this authentic Fijian culture is truly an experience of the heart. Community and cultural immersion is a key part of the Turtle Island experience, and the ambiance and amenities are designed for couples. They offer private beachfront villas, romantic picnics for two, intimate moonlit dine outs, and a number of private beaches to explore. Water's Edge Villa
The Water’s Edge Villa is closest to the Blue Lagoon, and at high tide, the waters lap gently at the stone walkway and stairs leading into the villa. Centrally located, the villa is near the main dining area and our water sports area. This villa also offers a private outdoor shower.
Grand Villa
The Grand Villas are located along the beachfront, overlooking the famous Blue Lagoon. Generous expanses separate these spacious, open plan villas, all landscaped for privacy. Each villa is slightly different in design and layout, reflecting their unique settings. Some villas have spa baths. Others have private outdoor showers.
Vonu Point Villa
Vonu Point is the premium villa on Turtle Island, situated on the Northern Point of the Blue Lagoon Beach. With its elevated position, it has magnificent views of the crescent shaped Blue Lagoon Beach and across the lagoon to neighboring islands. Inside, an inviting spa bath overlooks the archipelago. The villa opens onto a private garden, where you can enjoy 300-degree sweeping views from the day bed or the hammock.

Totoka Ceremony
Totoka Ceremonies are intimate affairs, for you and your beloved to exchange vows in the sacred presence of one another, nature, and a small circle of staff members, should you choose. You decide where you’d like to experience your ceremony - perhaps on one of our pristine beaches at dawn or dusk, or among the stillness of the trees in a leafy jungle, or from atop our mountain with breathtaking views overlooking the archipelago.
After the ceremony, toast each other with champagne, celebratory cake, and perhaps share a picnic. That evening, other guests in house will love to raise a glass to your love and commitment to one another.
Loloma Levu Wedding
Loloma Levu means lots of love in Fijian and this wedding ceremony is a grand celebration of love. You can arrange this elaborate affair to match perfectly your dreams. Many of their Loloma Levu couples opt to exchange their vows on the Blue Lagoon at sunset.
As the sun kisses the earth goodnight, and the sky blazes in warm color, the bride, attended by a Fijian warrior, is transported across the lagoon in a billi billi, a traditional wedding raft. At the shore, the conch shell is trumpeted to announce her arrival, where she is carried ashore by her warriors to her awaiting groom. As the couple approaches the outdoor altar, drums beat, and the choir sings.
After the wedding, guests and staff participate in a Kava ceremony, an ancient tradition, in honor of the bride and groom. Under the soft glow of lantern lights a champagne toast is made to the happy couple. The celebration continues into the evening with a wedding feast, music and merriment, and dancing.
